Josephine Olrick

McFarland--Josephine V. Olrick, age 83, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 in Sioux Falls, SD, after a brief illness. She was born in Fennimore on June 30, 1928, the daughter of Edward and Abbie (Kujawa) Novinski. Jo grew up in Fennimore and graduated from Fennimore High School in 1946 in a class of 46 students. On September 28, 1956, she married Vernon Olrick in Madison. Jo worked for the State of Wisconsin Transportation Department for many years. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Madison. Jo enjoyed traveling and reading. She is survived by her husband, Vern; daughter Diane (Stephen King) Earhart; sisters-in-law, Naomi Novinski, Ruby Novinski, Margie Olrick, and June Olrick; nieces, nephews, and many friends. Jo was preceded in death by brothers Norbert and Cletus; and parents. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 2450 Atwood Avenue, Madison, 53704, with Msgr. Michael E. Hippee officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon immediately following the services in the church fellowship hall. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of services Wednesday.
