Joyce Baer

MARSHALL- Joyce Marie Baer passed away at home on October 8, 2013. Joyce was born on June 21, 1933 in Owatonna, Minn. to Donald and Mae (Rogentine) McNearney.
Joyce was united in marriage to Neil R. Baer on June 30, 1956.
Survivors include George J. Socha Sr., Children; Mathew A. (Lori), their children, Tyler, Anthony and David; Michael D. (Cathy); Jon Pruess (Son-In-Law), children Justin and Ian; Patricia (Jerry Watts), their children Jesse, Nicholas and Erin.
Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Neil and daughter, Ellen Pruess.
Her combination of intelligence, passion, sense of adventure, wit, consideration, determination, kindness, strength and generosity will forever be an inspiration and model for us all.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at BLESSED SACRAMENT ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2115 Rowley Ave., Madison, on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. DePorres Durham and Msgr. Kenneth J. Fiedler presiding. A visitation will be held at church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyce's name to Olbrich Botanical Gardens, Wisconsin Public Radio or Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church.
