Joyce Moran

Joyce Ann Moran passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 19th, 2022. Her spirit was one kindled in laughter and a gregarious manner. She controlled a room when her personality shined through. Everyone who came in contact with her felt loved and a little bit lighter after sharing a laugh with her.

Joyce was a proud veteran of the United States Navy and held her service to the country in high esteem. After leaving the service, Joyce found her ‘happy place‘ in landscaping and gardening. The array of plants at her home received enough love to make any botanist jealous. Always a worshiper of the sun, some of the family's happiest memories are the many days and hours spent venturing to the “family” beach in Lake Mills. Her intellect, tenderness, and compassion were the foundations of her demeanor.

Joyce is survived by her beloved children, Grace and Gabriel Stauffacher and her former husband, Mark Stauffacher, father of her children.  She is further survived by two sisters. Cheryl Temple (Gary) and children Taylor, Sydney and Jack and Teresa Moran and her children Jennifer, Laura, Brooke and Rebekah as well as numerous other relatives and special friends.

In celebration of Joyce’s life, a Mass will be held on February 19th, 2022 at 11a.m. at St. John’s Catholic Church, 209 South St, Waunakee, WI 53597, to be followed immediately by a luncheon at Rex’s Innkeeper, 301 N Century Ave, Waunakee, WI 53597.  Please come and share your memories with her family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the East Side Alano Club at 1017 Northport Dr, Madison, WI 53704, in her name.
