Joyce L. Peruzzi (Colberg), age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2014 at her daughter's Madison-area home with her family by her side.
Joyce was born on September 29, 1928 in Amasa, Michigan, the daughter of Edith and Rudolph Colberg. She grew up in Caspian, Michigan and graduated from Stambaugh High School. Joyce married George Peruzzi of Caspian in September of 1947. She worked for many years for the F. W. Means Corp. in Caspian until her retirement in 1988.
More than anything, Joyce loved spending time with her family, especially her six grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She is also survived by her sisters Fern St. Louis of Caspian, Michigan, Betty Kohlbeck of Sussex, Wisconsin, and nieces and nephews.
A special Thank You to Agrace HospiceCare and the Winn-Cress Funeral Home of Waunakee, Wisconsin for their wonderful support. Joyce will be interred in Stambaugh, Michigan next to her husband, George. There will be a graveside service at a later date.
Joyce will be missed by many people and will be remembered as the beautiful, compassionate, and remarkable woman that she was.
A limb has fallen from the family tree
I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how I was truly blessed.
I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin,
Until the day comes we're together again."
Memorials are appreciated to the Alzheimer's and Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin, 7818 Big Sky Drive #109, Madison, WI 53719.
