Joyce Lillian Schneider

Joyce Schneider passed peacefully to be with the Lord on Sept. 1st. She was born to Edna (Gatso) and Fred Walker on May 17th, 1936. Joyce was a lifetime musician, playing cello in various orchestras and singing often in local choirs or just for sheer joy. She taught Russian and Polish, and in order to read the Bible in Greek, taught herself that language as well. Joyce is survived by her only daughter Holly, along with her adopted granddaughter, Ella Thoreson, her dear friend, Kathryn Richardson, and her "boyfriend, " Rich, who kept her walking to the end. A memorial service will be held at Wisconsin Lutheran Chapel at 220 W. Gillman St on Sept. 14th at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Holly suggests that donations be made to Wisconsin Lutheran Chapel, Sequoia Library, or Henry Vilas Zoo. The ongoing support from Agrace Hospice is greatly appreciated.
