Judianne Melter, age 81 of Middleton, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at UW Hospital in Madison. She was born July 11, 1943 in Milwaukee the daughter of June and Henry Laine. Judy married Craig H. Melter June 2, 1995 in Madison.
Judy was raised in Milwaukee, and later moved to Madison to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she received her BS and was employed as a registered nurse at UW Hospital for 39 years until her retirement. Judy loved being outdoors and enjoyed hiking, skiing, and boating. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed attending book clubs, was a great cook and enjoyed international travel.
Judy is survived by her loving husband, Craig, son Damon (Mary Kay) Wilcox, and a sister, Kim (Dale) Walesheck. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hank and June Laine, and her son, Jason Wilcox.
