Judith A. Coffey

Madison - Judith A. Coffey, age 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. She was born on January 11, 1944, in Stoughton, WI, the daughter of Marvin and Evelyn (Dary) Jacobson, and step-daughter of Frederick “Fritz” Weinman. She was united in marriage to her lifelong love, the late Allan Coffey on September 20, 1960. Judy held various factory, hospitality and seamstress positions, but the majority of her time was spent at home, dedicated to raising her family. Judy was an avid quilter, crocheter, and crafter. She valued the company of her dog, Max, and loved spending summers camping with her husband, grandkids, family and friends. Judy will be greatly missed and dearly remembered for her quick sense of humor, willful personality, and great love for her family.

Judy is survived by her children: Joan (Jeff) Koenig, Jay Coffey, Julie (Ivan) Kubly, James (Maria) Coffey; grandchildren: Rachel, Rebecca, Nicole (Gregory), Carly, Amanda, Monica and Jessica; great-grandchildren: Raegan, Natalee, Paige and Hudson: a sister Bonnie Scott, and brothers Robert (Betty) Jacobson and Kenneth Jacobson.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Allan, her parents, a son Jon, and infant daughter Catherine Ann.

Visitation and a time to gather will be held at CRESS FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 3325 East Washington Ave., Madison on Monday, September 11, 2023, from 10AM until 12PM. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of SSM Health Hospice and Brookdale Senior Living for the loving care provided to Judy and our family.
