Judith A. Davis, age 90, died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at UW Hospital. She was born March 27, 1920, in Stavanger , Norway, the daughter of John and Ingaborg (Oliversen) Selvaag. Judith moved to the United States in the early 1920's with her parents. She graduated from East High School in Madison, WI and went on to obtain her Nursing Degree in Eau Claire, WI. Judith then began working as an RN at Cook County Hospital in Illinois where she met her future husband, Dr. Adrian W. Davis. Later, they moved to Madison, WI where she eventually started working for Dr. Gordon Marlow as a RN for 20 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, and playing solitaire. Judith was a very loving and compassionate person to family members and friends. Survivors include a son Bruce Davis of Maple Bluff, WI, a daughter Rebel (Ulrich) Lettau of Marble Hill, MO,; 5 grandchildren: Brian Davis of Maple Bluff , WI, Kristin Davis of Cottage Grove, WI, Paul Lettau of Belleville, IL, Steven Lettau of Zalma, MO, Tracy (Bob) Racich of Roberts, WI,; 3 great grandchildren: Gavin (Davis) Moore, and Anthony and Nicholas Racich; a brother Arnold (Phyllis) Salvaag of Madison, WI, a nephew Robin Salvaag of Madison, WI, and two additional nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Adrian W. Davis and a brother Thor Salvaag.
