Judith A. French

Judith A. (Borquist Lien) French, passed away at the U.W. Hospital on Monday October 21, 2024 at the age of 85. She was born on May 4, 1939 in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of Harold and Charlotte Borquist.

Judy was loved and admired by all who knew her and will be greatly missed by many. Judy won multiple awards for her many years of volunteer work. She loved to travel, play bingo, play cards, and going to the casino. She worked many years in the printing business and ran an antique mall. She also loved music, dancing, and Elvis. Judy was a real people person who made the most out of her life.

Judy is survived by her children, Todd Lien and Sarajane Lien; grandchildren, Brianne Stewart and Drew Simmons. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Gordon Lien and Charles French; brother, John Borquist.

Celebration of Judy’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 East Washington Ave., Madison. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
