Deerfield, WI/ Greenfield, IN - Judith Anne Jones, age 71, passed away at HospiceCare in Fitchburg on Tuesday, October 15, 2011. She was born in Mount Comfort, Indiana on December 21, 1939, a daughter of Kenneth and Helen (Applegate) Reed. She married John Preston in 1959. They divorced in 1981. In 2005, she married Charles Jones. Judith worked as a real estate agent in Wausau for many years, and later worked as an auctioneer. She enjoyed drawing, painting and writing poetry. Judith received many awards for her work in real estate and for her poetry. She is survived by her husband, Charles; 3 children, Sarah (Jeff) Krahn, Joseph (Wendy) Preston, and Daniel (special friend, Joe Frey) Preston; 7 grandchildren, Kimberly, Jamie, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Sabrina, James and Scott; 7 great-grandchildren, Aiden, Andre, Terry, Cody, Samuel, Isabella, and Finley; and a sister, Carol Ivey. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sandra; her parents; and two brothers, Kenneth Edward Reed and Robert Reed. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at the Cress Funeral Home in Deerfield. Special thanks to HospiceCare, Inc.
