Madison - Judith L. Peshek, age 68 passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2009 at Oakwood Nursing Home. Â Â She was born on December 09, 1940 in Madison, Wisconsin to the parents of James F. and Alice M. Peshek and grew up in the Sunset Village neighborhood on Owen Street. Â Judy lived her entire life in Madison and has been a resident of Oakwood Lutheran Homes since 2004 where she created many friendships over the years with both the staff and fellow residents. Â Judy graduated from Madison West High School in 1959. Â She worked for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue for many years. Â She especially enjoyed knitting. Â She was a Meriter Hospital volunteer for over 25 years where she knitted and donated hundreds of colorful baby caps for their newborn baby program. Â She was a member of Christ Presbyterian Church where she volunteered in their Parish Shawl Program. Â Judy taught others about the importance of patience and kindness towards others. Â She never had an unkind word to say about anyone. Â She never complained and accepted the life she was given. Â Judy was preceded in death by both of her parents. Â Â Thank you to the 3rd floor Hebron Oakwood staff for their kind care and who Judy gratefully referred to as ""her family."" Â Graveside services will be held at Forrest Hill Cemetery on October 12, 2009 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Glen Reichelderfer officiating. Â In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Oakwood Foundation, Inc., 6201 Mineral Point Road, and Madison WI 53705.
