Judy Theobald

Judy Theobald, age 83, passed away August 30th, 2024. She was born in Madison, WI on July 31st, 1941. She was the daughter of Magdalen and Charles Fitzsimmons. She married Darrell Theobald on August 17, 1963.

Judy grew up in Madison and was a graduate of Edgewood High School. Judy was a long time member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish. She volunteered in several roles for the church. Judy was also a member of the Madison Catholic Women’s Club. Judy’s faith was very important to her.

Judy worked for a greeting card company for many years as a merchandiser. After retiring, she and Darrell enjoyed their time at their cottage on Musser Lake in Phillips, WI. Judy loved to entertain family and friends at the lake. Judy loved to play cards. She would never turn down a game of Euchre. She also enjoyed bowling and golf. She loved to travel, read, and do puzzles.

Judy is survived by her daughter Kim (Arlyn) Steffenson and grandsons Noah and Cole Steffenson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Darrell, brother Michael Fitzsimmons, and son Kevin Theobald.

Judy will be remembered as a great host of dinner parties and loved to spend time with all her family and friends.

A private family service will be held.
