Sun Prairie- Juergen Mueller, age 73, of Sun Prairie, passed away peacefully August 28th, with family at his side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Juergen was born in Salzhausen Germany. He immigrated, at the age of 1 with his parents to the United States, harboring at Ellis Island. They were the first of 6 of some 500 displaced persons/families to arrive in Wisconsin under a sponsorship program. Juergen was raised in Randolph, Wi. and a graduate of Randolph High School. He attended Madison Area Technical College with a degree in Electronics Technology. Juergen was meticulous, and showed great care for everything he had and did. His detailed vision carried him through adulthood as he became an Electrical Engineer working for GTE, Verizon, then American Transmission Company. He met the love of his life, Virginia, and they were married in 1981. He enjoyed tinkering, fixing, and making old things new again. Juergen loved cars, gardening, watching movies, cooking and elaborating on his Mother's traditional recipes. His dry sense of humor kept everyone thinking. Rather than trips, he and Virginia enjoyed going to the Fireside in Fort Atkinson. He cared deeply for his nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, and always hoped they would continue their education for a better life. Juergen was a devoted Christian and a member of Door Creek Church, Madison.
Juergen will be sadly missed by his loving wife Virginia, sisters Barbara Huettl (Larry), and Hannelore Mueller (Rick Nelson). Sisters-in–law Barbara Anderegg (Harold Moen), Margaret McNurlan, and Judith Nadler: brothers-in-law Michael Anderegg (Cheryl), Robert J. Anderegg (Jennifer Grant), David Anderegg (Carol Kelley DeLorenzo); nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He will also be missed by his precious canine, Autumn Breeze.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Andreas and Helene Mueller, and his niece Stacy Lynn DeBoer. Mother and Father-in-law, Robert C. and Anita Anderegg. Brothers-in-law, Carl Nadler and Malcolm Fuller. Loving canines Windy Storm, and April Mist.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Door Creek Church, Sprecher Road Campus, 6602 Dominion Drive, Madison. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, following the services, in the church fellowship hall. Burial will take place in Village of Randolph Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM until the time of services at church on Saturday.
Memorials may be made to the UW Carbone Cancer Center or to UW Veterinary Hospital.
The family wishes to thank all the friends and neighbors that have helped through this difficult time. Also, a special thanks to the Bristol Hospice Care Team, and the Staff at Columbus Nursing and Rehab Center for their kindness, support, and special services. Your dedication for caring was appreciated and will not be forgotten.
Please share your memories of Juergen by posting in his Guestbook.
