Sun Prairie- June Ellen Kittle, age 98, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. She was born in Milwaukee on January 16, 1924, the daughter of Richard and Adeline Weiler. June graduated from Bayview High School and attended Milwaukee Vocational School. She enlisted in the Coast Guard and served as a Yeoman for 2 and one-half years during WWII. During her service she met Everette Kittle. They were married September 28th, 1946.
June worked at the phone company in Buffalo, New York, and as an insurance agent for over 40 years in Oconomowoc and Delafield, Wisconsin. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and baking. June was an avid traveler with family and friends. She was an active volunteer at her church when she lived in Nashotah, Wisconsin. Being with her family was the light of her life.
June is survived by her daughter, Romona (Randall) Howe; grandchildren, Nora Pfaller (Jeff Pfaller), Benjamin Howe (Emily Zenz), Patrick Howe, and William Howe (Rebecca Miller); great grandchildren, Vivian Pfaller, Jack Pfaller and Christopher Zenz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everette; and siblings, Gene Weiler, Howard Weiler and Garnet Schwartz.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 300 Broadway Drive, Sun Prairie, with Pastor Charlie Brandt and Pastor Rob Serbus officiating. Military honors will follow. Friends may greet the family from 10:30am until the time of services at church on Thursday. Burial will take place in Union Grove Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made the Alzheimer’s Association.
