Madison -- Kae A. Siverhus, age 75 passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at the HospiceCare Facility with her husband by her side. She was born on May 18, 19 33 , the daughter of Alvin and Lucille (Healy) Larson in Minneapolis , MN . Â On September 11, 19 55 , Kae was united in marriage to W. James Siverhus in Minneapolis , MN . Kae worked two jobs as a secretary to help support her husband through his schooling. Â Together they moved to Madison in 1962 and raised three sons. Â Kae was a devoted member of Westminster Presbyterian Church as a deacon and served on many committees through the church. Â She was also a lifetime member of St. Mary's Auxillary and volunteered her time to Oak Wood Village West. Â Her talent of knitting allowed her to donate prayer blankets to oncology patients and other knitted items to St. Mary's Hospital and Westminster Presbyterian Church. Kae loved the outdoors and nature. Â She also enjoyed golfing, skiing, fishing and various craft projects. Â Most of all, Kae cherished time spent with family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years; W. James Siverhus, M.D. of Madison, three sons; Scott (Dawanna) Siverhus, M.D. of Scottsdale , AZ Craig (Hope) Siverhus, M.D. of Fox Point, WI, David (Lisa) Siverhus, M.D. of Mequon, WI, nine grandchildren; Sage, Cori, Kyle, Evan, Grant, Colin, Kelly, Rebecca and Brooke, two brothers; Brent (Marge) Larson of Bloomington, MN and Ronald (Jo) Larson of Mankato, MN. Â Kae was preceded in death by her parents. Â Funeral services will be held at WESTMINSTER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH , 4100 Nakoma Rd. , Madison on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend P. Alex Thornburg officiating. Â A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd. , on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Graveside services will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park Cemetery, Brookfield , WI on Thrusday, May 21, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. Memorial may be made in memory of Kae to: HospiceCare Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway , Madison , WI 53711 or the Salvation Army of Dane County, 630 E. Washington Ave. , Madison , WI 53703 . Â The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Dean Oncology Clinic and the HospiceCare Facility for all their care, compassion and most of all their support given to Kae and our family through her illness.
