Karen Ford

Karen Jean Ford, age 39, of Waunakee, WI passed away on December 16, 2020 at home.  She was born on June 30, 1981 in Madison, WI the daughter of James A. Ford and Glenda Whittaker.

Karen was currently working at Exact Sciences as a Laboratory Order Associate.  She formerly worked as a Police Administrative Aide at the (NYPD) New York Police Department prior to moving back to Wisconsin.  Karen completed an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Penn Foster College, and was previously a Nanny in NYC as well as a teacher at Bright Horizons Daycare.

Karen was a kind, caring, compassionate soul who was capable of infinite love.  She had a magic in her spirit like no else, and a passion in her heart that would bring a smile to those around her.  She lived many years in NYC where she had many wonderful friends that she considered family and held very dear.  She enjoyed traveling, but also loved to be home nestled with her puppies reading a book, crocheting, or meticulously completing a diamond painting.  Karen was a very thoughtful person that enjoyed making and shopping for gifts to give others.

Survivors include her mother Glenda Whittaker; sisters, Rebecca (Papa) Seck, and Christine (Michael) Burbey. She was preceded in death by her Father James A. Ford

A Memorial service will be held at St. John's Catholic Church 209 South St. in Waunakee, WI on January 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Msgr James Gunn will preside.

Burial will be at St. John's Cemetery in Waunakee, WI
