Waunakee:  Karen Marie Lowery, age 72, passed away Sunday July 26, 2020 of natural causes.  “Kari” was born August 2, 1947 in Woodstock, IL, the daughter of Ernest O. “Bud” and Lorraine V. (Knapik) Lowery.

Kari was a longtime resident of Ingleside, IL. Nearly all of her bookkeeping career was with the accounting firm Dam, Snell & Taveirne in Libertyville, IL.  Her favorite retirement activities were crocheting and baking. Kari especially loved to bake hundreds of cookies around Christmas time and send them to family and friends. Her carrot cakes were legendary. Kari was a loyal member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Waunakee, WI.

Kari is survived by her brother Ron Lowery of Buffalo Grove, IL, her Godson Michael Koob of Waunakee, his wife Beth, their children, and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Kari will be laid to rest next to her mother at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial and an outdoor memorial luncheon will be held this Fall.
