Karen Nelson

Karen Ann (Clarke) Nelson, 61, of Middleton, WI gained her wings, December 18, 2021, with her loving family near.  She was born July 24, 1960 in Madison, Wisconsin to Margery S. (Nelson) and Jerome R. Clarke. She attended Middleton High School, class of 1979.

Karen met the love of her life, Scott Nelson in high school. The two were wed on January 25, 1989, in Madison, WI. She was a true Green Bay Packers, and Wisconsin Badgers fan. Her family and friends will greatly miss her generosity, kindness and great cooking. Her big heart made her loved by many and feared by few. Her family and friends ALL have a funny Karen story that will live on in infamy. She would like them told often, so you laugh please. Karen was always ready for a good time, and loved spending time with family and friends. Karen enjoyed her yearly tropical vacation with her sister, especially to Jamaica.

Survivors include her loving husband and partner in crime, Scott; Siblings, Jeffrey Clarke (Anne Smith), Heidi Clarke (Ben Bowman); Nephews, Benjamin Clarke (Katherine), Jonathon Clarke, Matthew Clarke (Shannon), Jeffery Clarke Jr. (Nikole), Chase, and Tyler; Niece, Amy (Jake) Hallock. Great nieces and nephews, Jaden, Carter, Jonathon Jr., Mackenzie, and Trinity; Loving Uncle, Edward Nelson; Sisters in law, Janet Clarke and Carrie (Andrew)Kaplan; Mother in law, Mickey Nelson.

Waiting at the pearly gates with a warm embrace, were her mother Margery, father Jerome, step-father Alvord, brother Peter and father in law Burt Nelson.

A Celebration of Life will be held this summer. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Cress Funeral Home.
