STOUGHTON-Karen Webster Taylor, 77, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. She was born in Boston, Massachusetts on August 6, 1944, but spent most of her life in Wisconsin. She graduated from Oshkosh High School, where she was a member of the glee club. She also played piano and dulcimer. Her careers included stints as Greyhound Bus Driver, Driving instructor and Security Guard at St. Mary’s hospital.
Her first husband, Albert Ball, second husband Edward Taylor and sister-in-law Sharon Webster preceded her in death. She is survived by her brothers Peter and David (Carole), nephew Eric (Anne) and by Edward’s sons, Paul (Diane), Dennis (Janet), James (Patty) and Dan (Dynae) Taylor and family friend Paul Corcoran (Chris), all of whose descendants called her “Grandma Karen”.
Karen loved the outdoors and all of Mother Nature’s creatures. Karen was an avid bird watcher and surrounded her house with many bird feeders that attracted a wide variety of birds as well as many other wild woodland friends. She also enjoyed canoeing and kayaking on Madison’s lakes and rivers.
Friends and family will gather from 1-2:00 PM on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Cress Funeral Home, 5801 Hwy 51, McFarland, WI 53558.
