Karibell Peterson

Karibell ""Kay"" Peterson, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 following a brief illness.  Karibell was born on October 23, 1918 in Basswood WI, the daughter of Willie H. and Ruth (Callaway) Anderson.  On August 9 1941, she married Guy Peterson.  She attended Soldiers Grove High School, graduated from Platteville Teachers College, and later taught in a one room school.  After moving to Beloit , she worked in Harvard IL at Admiral Television for 20 years.  She was active in the Ladies Missionary Guild at Peoples Church for many years and later at the Rock Valley Chapel where she was a charter member.  She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992, one sister and four brothers.  She leaves to mourn three daughters Ruth (John) Germeraad of Petersburg , IL, Lynda (William) Knobeloch of Madison WI, Sheryl (Martin) Grove of Parma MI, her son Ronald Peterson of Mt. Pleasant SC, 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at ROCK VALLEY CHAPEL, 2780 Shopiere Rd., Beloit on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m.with Pastor Ron Anderson officiating.  A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m.until the time of services.  Graveside services will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Soldiers Grove , WI on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 1:00 pm.  Memorials may be made Rock Valley Chapel.  The family wishes to thank the staff at Meriter Hospital.  You'll be in our hearts forever.  We love you.
