Karl M.D.

Karl A. Rudat MD, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born January 12, 1947 the son of Jerome and Angeline (Long) Rudat in Racine. Karl received his BS from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1969, and his MD from the University of Wisconsin Medical School, Madison in 1973. Following this he served both his Internship and Residency at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Karl joined the Dean Health System Obstetrics and Gynecology Department in 1977, where he for 34 years was a kind, compassionate physician that was admired and respected by patients, fellow doctors, nurses, and staff. Karl is survived by his devoted wife, Marilyn; his loving children, Michael (Karen) Rudat, Jeanne (John) Voskuil, William (Guadalupe) Rudat; cherished grandchildren, Eric and Kirsten Rudat, and Alex and Matthew Voskuil; his sister Kathy (Jack) Rademacher, and brother, Jerry Rudat. A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2011 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd., Madison, WI 53705. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
