Katherine Sue "Kathy" Millar

Madison-Katherine Sue “Kathy” Millar of Madison, WI, age 73, passed away on February 24, 2025, in the company of loved ones. She was born on September 24, 1951, in Lancaster, WI to Clarence and Lois Cammack (Baker). She married Stephen Millar on September 16, 1978.

Kathy grew up in Platteville, WI and surrounding areas, and moved to Madison where she worked for Wisconsin Bell, later AT&T. She took a hiatus from work while her children were young. During this time ,she earned an Associate’s Degree from Madison College and instructed quilting courses and workshops. She eventually returned to AT&T.

Kathy was an artist and had many passions: sewing and quilting, reading, enjoying nature and exploring the outdoors through hiking, camping and gardening. Her gift for sewing and quilting led to her making gorgeous quilts as gifts for loved ones, sewing costumes for stage productions, and creating custom clothing and decorations. She baked incredible pies. She was a dedicated wife and mother, and took great pride in her family. She set a strong example of kindness, patience, love, and unconditional support to the ones she cared for.

Kathy is survived by her beloved family, children Andrew Millar (Lauren) and Julia Stover (Jonathan), grandchildren Levi and Evan Stover and Veda and Finn Millar, brother Clark Cammack (Joyce), siblings through marriage Robert Millar, Susan Edman and Patrick Millar (Isabela), and nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Clarence and mother Lois, her brother David Cammack, and her father- and mother-in-law Duncan and Margaret Millar. Kathy will be greatly missed by all.
