Kathleen Christopherson

Stoughton- Kathleen Ellen Christopherson, age 60, passed away from lung cancer on Friday, November 16, 2012. She was born in Madison on June 27, 1952, to Harold and Helen (Berkan) Olson. Kathleen grew up in Oregon and graduated from Oregon High School in 1970. On May 1, 1971 she married the love of her life, John Christopherson. They were married for 41 years and had three beautiful children. Kathleen is a Breast Cancer Survivor; she also belonged to the Stoughton American Legion Auxiliary Post 59, Stoughton Softball League and the Stoughton City Band. Kathleen enjoyed kayaking, traveling, caring for all the dogs, shopping and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren. Kathleen is survived by her husband, John; three children, Leslie (Mike) Ellingson, Eric (Jackie) Christopherson and Jill (Josh) Swangstu; three grandchildren, Nicole, Becca and Ryan Ellingston; sister, Annie Lyon; and nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton with a Pass in Review by the Auxiliary starting at 11:00 AM. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon following the services at the Stoughton American Legion Post 59, 803 N. Page Street. Friends may greet the family from 9:00 AM until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home. Private family burial will take place at a later date.
