Kathleen Joyce (Goethe) Hendricks

Kathleen Joyce (Goethe) Hendricks, age 92, passed away on December 13, 2022. She was born on September 30, 1930 in Green Bay, WI to Walter and Florence Goethe. Kathleen married Leo Hendricks on June 28, 1952. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years, active in her church and always there to help with her kids’ activities. She enjoyed music, camping with her family, weekly card club playing bridge, sheepshead, and cribbage.

Kathleen and her husband owned and operated Koller’s Resort in Spooner, WI and later they were managers of Country View Apartments in Waunakee.

She is survived by her children, Barbara (Jim) Kohlmetz of Eagle River, WI; Tim (Karen) Hendricks of Klamath Falls, OR and Paula (Scott) Meicher of Verona, WI. Grandchildren, Erin Corcoran; Joshua (Samantha) Van Ess; Kylie Van Ess; Jeremy Hendricks; Kristin Hendricks; bonus grandchildren, Beth and Tyler Kohlmetz; Six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Leo; her parents Walter and Florence; brother, Robert Goethe and infant sisters, Jean Marie and Mary Jane.

The family would like to thank Dr. Jennie Hounshell from U.W. Health Clinic for her many years serving as Kathleen’s doctor, the many nurses and CAN’s she’s had care for her as she battled Alzheimer’s, and Agrace Hospice for their continued support while she was sick.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 12PM at Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q in Waunakee. A visitation will be held one hour prior until the time of service. A luncheon will immediately follow at Rex’s Innkeeper.
