Kay Martin

February 22, 1925 — December 18, 2012

A lovely lady peacefully left this world on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Kathleen Mary (Walsh) Martin passed away surrounded by love at Skaalen Nursing and Rehab in Stoughton. Kay was born on February 22, 1925 in Cazenovia, WI where she was raised on a dairy farm. She married the love of her life, Jack, on June 5, 1948. Kay's life was centered around her family. She was never happier than when the house was filled with those she loved. Continuing her legacy are her children Kathy (Jeff) Horton, Michael Martin, Pat Adams and Jeff (Jackie) Martin; her grandchildren Lisa (Ezra), Dawn (Paul), Mikey, David, Jack, Ben, Sam and Jake; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Sophie, Isabelle and Maisie. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Betty Walsh and brother-in-law Joe (Delores) Martin.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack in 1967, parents Frank and Mary Walsh, sister LaVona, brother Jed; and special friend Andy Bartlett.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Skaalen Home Chapel, 400 N. Morris St., Stoughton on Saturday, December 22, 2012. The family will greet friends at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect Ave, Stoughton on Friday, December 21, 2012 from 4 - 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 6:45 p.m. and on Saturday one hour prior to service. A luncheon will be served in the Friendship Room following the service.

The family would like to thank the staff at Skaalen, particularly those on Forest View, for the tender care they gave Kay while she resided there. Memorials can be made to the Skaalen Benevolent Fund or the charity of your choice. Most importantly, raise a glass and make a toast this Christmas to the woman who has lovingly touched so many lives.
