Keith Krisher

Keith R. Krisher, age 71 of McFarland passed away at home surrounded by his family, on Thursday, June 26, 2014. He was born on October 14, 1942 in Pioneer, OH, the son of Clark E and Pauline (Fenicle) Krisher.
Keith was a self-employed auto mechanic who had passion for his job which spanned 56 years in McFarland. He had no plans to retire as he was still working on Monday, June 23rd. His hobbies included fishing, woodworking, lawn mowing, spending time with family, trap shooting, and being a world traveler.
Keith moved to McFarland in 1957 and began working with his dad at Slim's Farm Service. He graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1961 and continued working at his dad's garage while subbing as a mail carrier. Keith was a member of the Twilight Drifters car club serving as their stock car mechanic. Every summer for over 30 years, you could find Keith at Hope Rod & Gun Club enjoying Thursday night trap shooting with friends. When Keith wasn't working, he was spending time with family and taking in different world sights.
Keith is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Betty; his son, Richard (Gail); and his daughter, Robin; three furry grandchildren, Max, Beeps, and Kiki; his Brother Ted (Cheri); his brother-in-laws, Tom (Karen) Plunkett, Cliff (Linda) Plunkett, Don Brown, Warren Frank; sister-in-laws, Eleanor Moran, Ida Morse, Dorothy (Mick) Frank, and Jackie (Alan) Forker, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Kent Krisher, a sister-in-law Roberta Brown, and a brother-in-law Edgar Morse.
A special thank you to Dr. John Sheehan for his dedicated treatment of Keith's Myelofibrosis and to Agrace HospiceCare for making Keith's "goal" to go home happen.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Cress Funeral Home in McFarland on Saturday July 12, 2014. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday.
