Keith Russell, 70, of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin unexpectedly passed away at home on January 26, 2021.

Keith was born June 27th, 1950 in the town of Portage, Wisconsin, the son of Marlis McLean and Arthur Russell. He graduated from Westfield High School in Virginia in 1968, earned a degree in Journalism with a minor in Business in 1977 and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration in 1978, all at UW-Whitewater. Keith married the love of his life, Terry Heitke on February 8th, 1975. Their sons, Kyle and Ryan, were born in 1977 and 1981 respectively. Keith and his family resided in many cities throughout the United States over the years and also spent time in Munich, Germany. He enjoyed a career in business and was involved in both golf course management and sales ventures.

Keith loved sports, both playing and watching. His interests included baseball, softball, golf, bowling, pool, tennis, basketball and watching Nascar with his sons. He especially enjoyed watching the Brewers, the Packers, and the Badgers.

Keith is survived by his beloved wife Terry of forty-five years of Cottage Grove. Son Kyle (Ann) Russell of Madison and son Ryan (Rachel) of Cottage Grove. He was blessed to live near both his children and was able to see his grandchildren Xander, Sarah, Conner, Cainen, and Veira frequently. He is also survived by his siblings, Carol (Tom Grey) Simonson of Endeavor, Donna (Patrick) Tucker of Oxford, Dean (Bonnie) of Rockford and step-mother Dorothy Russell of Portage

Keith was preceded in death by his mother Marlis McLean, step-father Robert McLean, father Arthur Russell, father-in-law Harold Heitke, mother-in-law Donna Heitke, and godson and newly reunited Justin Lentz.

A private family gathering will be held.
