Kelsey Joanne Dolphin, 29, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 19th, 2019. Kelsey was born on September 6, 1989, in Madison, Wisconsin. She grew up in Sun Prairie and graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 2008.
Kelsey was a free spirit and shining light in our family. She cared deeply about everyone and she greeted you with a hug. Kelsey was intelligent, creative and had a gift for writing. Her laugh was unmistakable and contagious; it would always prompt a smile from you. Her essence brightened up a room when she appeared.
Kelsey adored her son Jonathan, who meant the world to her. She will be missed by her family and friends deeply. We will never have another Kelsey. Our hearts are broken. She's in God's arms now.
Kelsey is survived by her son Jonathan; her parents, Judith and Ronald Dolphin; her sister, Crystal Smith (Isaac); her brother, Tyler Dolphin (Leah); nephews and niece, Jacob and Jackson Smith, Xander Dolphin and Ava; her maternal grandmother Joan Engen; paternal grandfather, Phil Engen; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; her boyfriend and love David Campi and many beloved friends.
A Celebration of Life service for Kelsey will be held at PRAIRIE CREEK THE REFUGE, 6484 North Bird Street, Sun Praire on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at 5:00 pm with Reverend Rex Wegner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Kelsey for her son Jonathan. Contributions should be made payable to Ronald and Judith Dolphin.
Her obituary photo has special meaning to Kelsey and Jonathan. He gave the single rose to his mommy on Valentine's Day. As you can see in the picture, she loved it so much.
