In Loving Memory
Kenneth Melvin Hall, age 80, died on June 15, 2014 at Agrace HospiceCare after courageously surviving through COPD and reoccurring Pneumonia and hindered by heart disease. He was born on May 6, 1934 in Brainerd, MN to Melvin Hall and Bernice (Gray) Roehl, and later on, his step-father, Vern Roehl.
Kenneth served in the Navy from 1954-1959. He married Patricia I Besitzky on September 12, 1981. In November of 1995, he retired from Oscar Meyer after 31 years of service. Kenneth was a loving and caring father and best friend. His wife of 32 years was loved and cherished greatly. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren. Kenneth enjoyed family and friends very much. He also loved the companionship of his dogs his baby Duke and Hanz. Kenneth went camping whenever he could, he loved to play golf and enjoyed cheering for the Packers and Brewers. He was proud of his short stories and poetry. He studied faithfully and loved serving his God, Jehovah, before his death.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Patricia "Tish"; two daughters Jolene ( Duane) Smith of Madison and Julie Parrish (Maurice Withers) of Evansville son, Jayson Hall of Evansville; two grandchildren Jamison and grandpa's princess Lorin Smith of Madison; four adopted children Joyce, Jan, Jill ( Danny) and Jerry; also leaves behind other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his half- brother Wayne Mason; mother Bernice Roehl; father Melvin Hall; and step- father Vern Roehl.
Funeral services will be held 3:00PM, Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 East Washington Avenue in Madison. Visitation will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home. Private burial will be held at Cottage Grove Cemetery.
The family requests that any donations on behalf of Kenneth may be made to Agrace Hospice Care who were compassionate and diligent with his care.
