Kerry E. ""Wags"" Wagner

Kerry E. ""Wags"" Wagner, age 57 passed away Friday, July 29, 2011 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Kerry was born in Dodgeville on July 10, 1954 the son of Kenneth L. and Audrey M. (Nolen) Wagner. He graduated from Dodgeville High School, Class of '72. Kerry worked in many places from early years as a bartender to later work as a sales representative in the building industry. Kerry's favorite activities included golfing and bowling, relaxing in the sun and spending time with family and friends. Kerry was a dedicated, devoted father, admired for his great sense of humor, a friend to many and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He leaves behind his girlfriend and best friend, Karen Acker of Waunakee; daughter, Nina Brooke (Brian) Engstrom of Madison/Colorado and grandson, Darren; mother, Audrey of Dodgeville; sister and brothers: Mary McCutchin of Dodgeville, Jerry (Diane) of Kansas, Ken of Fitchburg, and Kevin (Kathie) of New Jersey; sister-in-law, Marcia Wagner of Mineral Point; god-daughter, Brittany Lyn Wagner; god-son and companion, Skylar Karls; and a host of extended family and friends.

Kerry was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth; brother, Larry; and grandparents, Verl and Gladys Nolen and William and Icy Wagner.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Winn-Cress Funeral Home 5785 Highway Q, Waunakee. A visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2011 and also one hour prior to service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
