Kirk Wible

Middleton:  Kirk Eugene Wible, age 78, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Agrace HospiceCare with his loving wife by his side.  Kirk was originally from Kendallville, IN.

Kirk retired after a long career in marketing for several fundraising companies.  His first love was always music and teaching.  He graduated from Ball State University Muncie, Indiana with a degree in music.  At Ball State, he was Drum Major from 1963-1966.  He was a member of Blue Key and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia.  He was a varsity letter winner in track.  Kirk was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha.  The fraternity won top honors at the 1965 All Greek Variety Show and Spring Sing competition in 1966.  Lambda Chi Alpha named him the outstanding senior for 1966.  After working as a graduate assistant band director at his alma mater, he taught music as a high school band director at several schools in Indiana.  Teaching was so important to him.  He felt it was not only his job to teach students to play instruments, but for them to learn life lessons and the joy of music for a lifetime.  In retirement, he did music arranging.

Kirk is survived by his wife of 51 years, Adrienne, and a cousin, Charles Courtney of Riverside, IL.  A gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate Kirk’s life.  In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kirk’s name may be made to Agrace HospiceCare 5395 E Cheryl Pkwy Fitchburg, WI 53711 or the Pope Farm Conservancy 10333 Blackhawk Rd Middleton, WI 53562.
