Kyle Vincent Green passed away peacefully on June 17, 2022. He was born on September 29th, 1935, in Iron Mountain Michigan, and graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1956. From 1956-1960, he was a student at Marquette University where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
The week after he graduated, he married the love of his life, Carol (Lang). This year, they celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on June 11th. After graduating from Marquette, he worked in Minneapolis from 1960-1962 for Western Union. In 1962, he moved to Madison where he worked for Madison Gas & Electric for two years. Kyle spent the rest of his career, from 1964-1994, at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he rose to the position of Chief Electrical Engineer at the Physical Plant. He had a great interest in cars, both new and old, railroads, hydroelectric dams, brass band march music, British mysteries and other crime dramas on TV.
He was preceded in death by his son, Arthur Green, his parents, Amos and Geneva Green; his brother and sister-in-law Henry and Ida Green; and nephew Scott Green.
Kyle is survived by his wife, Carol, and their children and their families: Jennifer and her daughters, Alisha and Brianna; Tony (wife Kathleen) and their daughters, Danielle and Amy; and Matthew (wife Susan) and their children, Nicole, Cooper (wife Hattie), and Colin.
A date for his celebration of life has yet to be determined.
