La Verne June Auerbach

SUN PRAIRIE   AUERBACH , LA VERNE   La Verne Auerbach, age 86, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 in the Waunakee Manor.  She was born July 27, 1922, in Eland, WI, the daughter of Walter and Edna (Joerns) Piehl.  She had been employed by WI Cheeseman  for more than 24 years.  She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, loved traveling and playing bridge.  On September 10, 1943, La Verne was united in marriage with Adolph Auerbach  in Las Vegas.   In addition to her husband Adolph, survivors include a son James (Gail) Auerbach of Sun Prairie, a daughter Diane (Daniel) Brandt of Eau Claire, 5 grandchildren: Rebecca, Benjamin, Paul, John and Laura, 5 great grandchildren: Abraham, Brooke, Kimberly, Cayden and Logan; 1 brother Ray (Loretta) Piehl of Wautoma and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother David.   Services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, October 14 at BETHLEHEM LUTHERAN CHURCH 300 Broadway Drive, where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service.  The Reverend Dr. James Pingel will officiate.  In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials in La Verne's name.
