La Verne Marshall Froseth

Madison - La Verne Marshall Froseth, age 74, passed away after a long illness on Saturday, September 19, 2009. He was born in Eau Claire, WI to Norwegian immigrants, Herman and Inga ( Anderson) on December 21, 1934. La Verne is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judith; sister Joan (Richard Johnson); son Mark (Rose); son Scott (Carrie); former daughter-in-law Nancy; and grandchildren Stacy and Christopher. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of Oak Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care and friendship of Vern and Judy during the past five years.   Special thanks to Jean B., Gina, Anita, Gloria, Lenny, Melissa, Jean D., and Rosemary. The family also wishes to thank the caring and thoughtful staff of HospiceCare in Fitchburg, WI where Vern spent his last days in peace and comfort.   Vern was a devoted member of Bethel Lutheran Church since 1960.   He was a quiet, generous, and kind husband, father, brother, son, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Vern's name may be made to Oak Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at 718 Jupiter Drive, Madison, WI   53718. The family will celebrate Vern's life with a private gathering.   There will be no visitation or funeral service.
