Lance Waite

Lance D. Waite, age 46, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017. He was born on March 22, 1970, in Milwaukee,the son of Verdelle Schaefer. Lance was united in marriage to Laura Hopwood on August 15, 1997, in Janesville. Together they raised five children.

Lance was an avid outdoorsman and a man of great character. He adored his family and loved teaching his daughters how to work on cars.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Laura; his children, Jeffrey and Joshua Hopwood and Corissa, Cayla, and Emma Waite; and his mother Verdelle Schaefer. Lance also leaves behind many other family and friends.

A Mass of CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017, at GOOD SHEPHERD CATHOLIC PARISH AT ST. JAMES CHURCH, 1204 St. James Ct. Madison, with Msgr. Tom Baxter presiding. A visitation will precede the mass at 10:00 a.m. Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie.

Lance will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
