STOUGHTON
Larry D. Roberts, age 77 passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born in Wells, MN on June 10, 1935, the son of the late John Register and Bernice Roberts. Larry graduated from Wells High School and attended Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis. He then moved to Wisconsin where he met and married Gladys Anderson in Janesville on June 12, 1955. He owned and operated Larry Roberts Auto and Electric for over 37 years, repairing starters and alternators and serving his community up until retirement in 2012.

Larry was a member of the Stoughton school board for twenty years, serving his community and trying to serve every student. He very much enjoyed the time he spent serving on the board.

The passion of going to auctions and sales were a favorite past-time, and always looking forward to collecting some unique items, mustache cups, trains and items from our past. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gladys; son Rick (Lora) and their children, Olivia, Sydney, and Preston; daughter, Debra (James McCrary) Lopez and her children, Jason and Amy Leatherberry; one great-grandson, Cashton Leatherberry; three sisters, Judy (Arlo), Sue (Leon), and Janet. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Michael.
