Larry "Tex" A. Torgeson

Larry “Tex” Allen Torgeson, aged 62, passed away on December 22, 2024, in Frostproof, Florida. Born on February 20, 1962, Tex spent most of his professional life at A&M Business Interiors until his retirement in 2021. He was a passionate fisherman, fulfilling his dream of fishing daily after moving to Florida. A lifelong Dallas Cowboys and horse racing enthusiast, Tex also enjoyed occasional trips to the casino with loved ones. 

Tex was a dedicated member and board member of the Yahara Fisherman Club in Madison, Wisconsin, continuing his involvement through virtual meetings even after relocating to Florida. His love for activity extended to daily walks with his dog, always cherishing the moments spent outdoors.

Tex is survived by his wife, Denise; stepchildren, AnnaBeth (Jason) Everard of Sun Prairie and Adam Meyer (Lauren Kelley) of Green Bay; step- grandchildren, Michael, Anthony, Elizabeth, James, Mariah, Cohen, and Shiloh. Tex also leaves behind one uncle; George Willett, two sisters; Karen Murray (Bill) and Deb Torgeson (Rick Genin), nieces; Kristi Davis (Marc), Jenny Lindmeier (Brandon) and nephews; Eric Ahlvin (Joey), Mark Murray, and, Ryan Murray. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mona and Norman Torgeson. 

Tex was a committed member of New Life Lutheran Church in Sebring, Florida, and formerly of Eastside Evangelical Lutheran Church in Madison. 

Visitation will be from 10-11:00 am on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Cress SUN PRAIRIE with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. Tex will be brought to his final place of rest at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens. To honor Tex, please feel free to dress in Dallas Cowboys attire.
