Laura Haag

Laura Mae Haag, age 83, of Waunakee died on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the
Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Lodi surrounded by her family. Laura was born on September 30, 1928 and married Cyril Haag on May 3, 1949. She was a homemaker and daycare provider for many families over the years. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, embroidery and painting. She treasured the many ribbons she won for her artwork at the Lodi Union Fair.

Survivors include ten children; Delores (Steve) Madigan of Cross Plains, Richard (Terry) of Dane, Mary (Dan) Barman of Middleton, Diane Dohm of Dane, Tom (Anne Crosby-Haag) of Middleton, James (Lori) of Waunakee, John (Julie) of Dane, Janice (Lee) Stark of Neenah, Randy (Rosanne) of DeForest and Steve (Kris) of Sauk City; 25 grandchildren; Ryan (Rhonda) Madigan, Jeff (Lori) Madigan, Christine (Josh) King,
Rachel and Jacob Haag, Melissa (Tom) Moss, Brad (Sarah) Barman, Laurie, Adam and Andrea Barman, Brian and Rick Dohm, Kim (Nick) Brewer, Dustin and Jonathan Haag, Jeremy (Kristy) Crosby, Josh (Amanda) Crosby, Christopher and Matthew Haag, Josh (Melissa) Haag, Amanda Haag, Renee and Alex Haag, Sawyer and Bryce Haag; 8 great-grandchildren, Brianna Madigan, Emily and Luke Madigan, Olivia and Cole King, Benjamin Moss, Audrey Barman and Sawyer Crosby.

Laura is also survived by: a sister Maggie (Reuben) Birrenkott; brother George (Jakey Giddens) Barman; and sister-in-law Lois Barman.

She was preceded in death by her husband Cyril; daughter Arlene; and brother Jerome.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, 209 South Street, Waunakee, Msgr. James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Winn-Cress Funeral Home and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in St. Michael's Cemetery in Dane.
