Laurel J. Catrona, age 87, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2010 at Skaalen Home in Stoughton. Â She was born in Rice Lake on August 5, 1922. Â Laurel worked for the Federal government as a secretary for the Department of Transportation, and for the State Crime Lab. Â During WWII, she did volunteer social work at Truax field. Â In 1983, she was united in marriage to James Catrona in Stoughton. Â Together, they spent 15 years traveling and fishing all over the country in a truck camper. Â She was an outdoor person who loved fishing and camping. Â Laurel is survived by her husband, Jim; her children, Robert (Bernadine) and Dale Sundbakken, and Nancy Hohneke; grandchildren, Dale Jr., Aaron, Sarah, Jessica and Kimberly; stepchildren, John (Bernie) Catrona, Kathy Wagstaff and Barry Bursch. Â She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Lois. Â Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton, with Monsignor Gerard Healy officiating. Â The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, and again on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
