Lauretta ""Laurie"" M. Pearson

MIDDLETON- Lauretta ""Laurie"" M. Sullivan Gallagher Pearson, age 76, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009, at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg after an extended illness of Dementia with Lewy Bodies and General Anxiety Disorder. Laurie was born March 7, 1932, in Madison to parents Daniel and Clara Sullivan. In 1962 Laurie married Dennis Gallagher, who passed away in 1966. She then married Jim Pearson in 1974. She is survived by her husband, Jim Pearson of Middleton, WI and Naples, FL; her children: Cindy Pearson of West Des Moines, Iowa and her children Margeaux and Henry Adams; Kevin (Mary Sue) Gallagher of Mukwonago and their children Patrick, Meghan and Ryan; Jill (Dave) Dudas of Hortonville, WI and their children David, Dylan, Danny and Dustyn; and Eric (Kelsey) Pearson of Spokane, WA and their son, Sam. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Grace Sullivan of Homboldt, TN and Jo Valentine of Phoenix, AZ. Laurie was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Dennis Gallagher; brother, Earl Sullivan; and in-laws: Don and Tess Gallagher and Olaf and Mary Pearson. A special thank you to all who have provided help during this illness: HospiceCare, Dr. A. Walaszek, Dr. Karen Loomans, Dr. Laura Dent, and countless family and friends. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, February 13, 2009, at ST. THOMAS AQUINAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison, with a visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Memorial luncheon and program to follow memorial Funeral Mass. A Naples Memorial Celebration will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the HospiceCare Foundation, Inc., or the Alzheimer's Association of Central Wisconsin.
