LaVerne J. ROHLWING

LaVerne June Rohlwing, age 92, passed away on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Skaalen Home in Stoughton.   She was born in Chicago on June 2, 1917, a daughter of the late Herman and Clara (Krueger) Lenz.   On August 9, 1941, she was united in marriage to William Rohlwing, who served as Pastor at Mount Olive Lutheran Church for over 30 years.   LaVerne was a longtime volunteer at Methodist Hospital and Oakwood Village West.   She loved nature, especially flowers, and art.  She is survived by 2 daughters, Ruth Rohlwing and Kathi (George ) Baltes; grandchildren, Michael (Linda) Ryglewicz, Brian (Josephine) Ryglewicz, Kristen (Chris) Fairchild, Geoffrey Baltes and Jennifer Baltes; 3 great grandchildren, Jay, William, and Emma.   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband William, a sister, Viola and a brother Raymond.   Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 11:00 am at Skaalen Chapel, 400 N. Morris St., Stoughton with the Rev. James Koza officiating.   Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Madison.   The family will greet friends at the chapel on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
