Lawrence J. Graham, age 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Agrace HopsiceCare. He was born on October 7, 1936 in Portage, WI. He grew up in Hayward. His family moved to Madison where he graduated from West H. S. in 1954. He attended the U.W. Madison where he was a member of the DU fraternity. After graduation he worked in California where he met Marilyn Huggett, whom he married in Lansing, MI. They settled in Wisconsin where Larry started his career as a civil engineer in preliminary bridge design for the Wis. D.O.T. Larry enjoyed his involvement with his family in the Madison swimming scene. Larry also was very active with the Madison Ski Club, scuba diving, biking, cross country skiing and running. The Birkebeiner cross country race and Syttende Mai run were his favorites. In 1986 Larry married Judy Kelliher. After retiring, Larry and Judy enjoyed their many travels and special times in Door County.
Larry is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Kathy (John) Terrell, and Kristi (Chris) Frankwicz; step-sons, John (Julie) Kelliher and Matt (Jen) Kelliher: grandchildren Cameron and Jennifer Terrell, Max and Keely Frankwicz, Elizabeth, Jessica, Emma, and Johnny Kelliher; brother, Don and extended family. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn; parents, Clarence T. and Phyllis Graham; and brother, Roger Graham.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 326 S. Segoe Road, Madison, WI. 53705, followed by a time of fellowship at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4100 Nakoma Road, Madison, WI 53711.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, WI or Westminster Presbyterian Church.
