Lawrence R. Morris

Cottage Grove – Larry Rainer Morris, 69, died unexpectedly December 11, 2023.  He was born July 26, 1954, in Darmstadt, Germany. He was adopted by Lawrence and Esther Morris at 6 months old and continued to live on the army base his father was stationed at in Germany.  Later they moved to Florida then Wisconsin where Larry grew up.

Larry graduated from Oregon High School, Class of 1972. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  After the War, he enrolled at U.W. Madison and received his degree in Accounting.  He married Lynn Haas and they settled in Madison, WI. They celebrated 47 years of marriage this past August. He is survived by his wife Lynn Morris, his daughters Melissa Cary (Mike Cary), Stephanie Weihert, and Kimberly Reiten (Bryan Reiten) and his grandchildren Jameson, Olive, Pryor, Donovan, Hollyn, Blake, Bear, Jackson, Dayne, and Raya. 

The visitation will take place at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 201 Bue Street, Deerfield on Monday December 18, 2023, from 2:00pm-4:00pm. Military Honors will take place at 4:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.
