Lawrence Estes Seymour

Columbus-Lawrence E. Seymour Sr., age 87, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at his residence.  He was born on May 15, 1921, in DeSota, WI the son of the late Haskell & Vera (Haverly) Seymour.  Lawrence was united in marriage to Pauline McNeil on September 26, 1942 in Hillsboro and together they raised 6 children.  During WW II he served in the U.S. Army.  Lawrence spent 20 years as a painter for the Madison School Board.  He was a member of the Masons, Kegonsa Lodge and the V.F.W.  Lawrence was a great outdoorsman and a loving son, husband, father, brother and uncle.  In 2005 he moved to the Columbus area.  Lawrence is survived by his wife, Pauline, 6 children, 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and his twin sisters.  A Memorial service will be held at Cress Funeral Home Chapel, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie on Saturday, November 22, 2008.   A time of gathering will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.  service with Chaplain John McCarthy.  In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.   Cress Funeral & Cremation Service 1310 Emerald Terrace Sun Prairie, WI www.cressfuneralservice.com
