Stoughton- Leland G. Hack, age 74, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2008. He was born on October 6, 1934, the son of Leland and Edith (Payne) Hack. Leland married Janet Kelley on September 22, 1962 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church on Atwood Avenue. Sonny worked for 10 years at Sunby Sand and Gravel before retiring after 25 years as a custodian for the Stoughton Middle School. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Sonny is survived by his wife of 46 years, Janet; three children, Myrna, Tina and Leland William ""Bill"", all of Stoughton; siblings, Lois (Jack) Johnson of Edgerton, Laverne (Mary), Henry (Diane) Halverson and Patty (DeWayne) Ree, all of Stoughton and Betty (Jim) Strand of Deerfield; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Angela; and brothers, Alfred and Lyle. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 323 N. Van Buren, Stoughton, with Msgr. Gerard Healy officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Mound Cemetery in Oregon. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass Tuesday at church. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Monday, October 20, 2008 at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton. A special thank you to Richard and Sherry Wambold, to the Stoughton Ambulance First Responders, to the staffs of Stoughton Hospital and UW Hospital, to Msgr. Healy, and to all of the neighbors, who were with us in our time of need.
