Lenore P. Sylvester

Lenore Pauline Sylvester   Madison - Lenore Pauline Sylvester, age 67, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2010 surrounded by her family.   Lenore was born in Chicago, Illinois on May 23, 1943.   She was a graduate of UW Wisconsin with a B A in education and psychology.   Lenore loved music including playing piano, violin and singing in the choir, traveling with her husband, and spending time with her family and friends.   She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Don Sylvester; three children, Peter L. III (Dee) Maas of San Antonio, TX, Carol (Pete) Van Ess of Brighton, MI, and Phillip (Teresa) Maas of Madison, WI; sister Doris (Brad) Nelson of LaGrange, IL; 7 grandchildren, Peter IV, Kristin, Steven, Rachel, Dominick, Nina and Nicole; one niece, Jamie; two nephews, Kyle and Eric.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Palmer and Charlotte Satrum and brother David Satrum. A visitation will be held Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 5:30 P.M. with a Celebration of Lenore's Life at 7:00 P.M. at First Unitarian Society, 900 University Bay Drive, Madison, WI.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Wisconsin Foundation, 1650 South 108th St., West Allis, WI 53214-4021, or to Wisconsin Public Radio, Attn.
