Leo Heilmann

WAUNAKEE - Leo Albert Heilmann, age 88, passed away on Tuesday August 1, 2017. Leo was born December 2, 1928 in Fennimore, WI, and was the son of Albert and Elizabeth (Stivarius) Heilmann.
Leo was a Corporal in the U.S. Marine Corps. Platoon 106 out of Parris Island, SC. He sailed on the U.S.S. Toledo CA-133 out of Long Beach, CA, and spent eight months in the waters of Japan, China and the Philippines.
Leo love to golf, play cards and listen to classical music.
He is survived by a brother Robert Heilmann of Prairie du Chien, WI, a sister Dorothy (Richard) Trameri of Madison, WI, sister-in-law Lorraine Heilmann of Albert Lea, MN, brother-in-law Curtis Forbes of Manawa, WI, and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by a sister Ann Forbes of Manawa, WI a brother Bernard Heilmann of Albert Lea, MN and his parents.
The family would like to thank the staff of Capital Lakes and Agrace Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Leo.
Leo was a quiet, gentle man who will be missed. Per Leo's request there will be no services.
