Leo F. Kuehn, age 79, of Waunakee, passed away on May 7, 2012 at his home where he had lived for the past 6 years. Leo was born in Waunakee on February 24, 1933 to Lawrence and Cecilia (Koch) Kuehn. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army for 2 years during the Korean War. Leo retired from the Town of Westport as a patrolman in 1993. After his retirement he worked at Quality Machining part time until 2008. His hobby was his little tractor, a 1947 International Cub; his toy and his joy. He enjoyed going to the Senior Center when entertainment was provided by Bob Clinger, the Southern Wisconsin Old Time Fiddler's, etc.
He is survived by his brothers, Wilfred (Diane), and Joseph (Jane); his sister Mary Jane (Dave) Ellickson; and many nieces and nephews. Leo was preceded in death by many relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, 209 South Street in Waunakee. Monsignor James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Full military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 360 Honors Unit.
