Lillian F. Birkinbine

Sun Prairie-Lillian F. ""Honey"" Birkinbine, age 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 11, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. She was born on May 10, 1922 in Woodman, near Boscobel, WI. The daughter of James and Philipena (Martin) Lewis. Honey was united in marriage to William H. ""Buck"" Birkinbine on October 26, 1944 in Madison and recently they celebrated 66 years of marriage. She was a graduate of Boscobel High School, Class of 1940 and received her Registered Nurse Degree from St. Mary's School of Nursing in 1943. Honey was a woman of great faith whose greatest enjoyment came from being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Honey was an avid card player especially enjoying a good game of bridge or euchre. She also enjoyed reading, bird watching, baking, being with her family, cooking her favorite recipes and doing things for others. She was a Honey! She will be missed by her beloved family which include her husband, William ""Buck"" Birkinbine of Sun Prairie; her children, John (Sue) Birkinbine, Madison, Nancy (Bruce) Thompson, Sun Prairie, Eileen (Chuck) Peters, Sun Prairie, Barbra Birkinbine (Mike Garry), Lodi, David (Linda) Birkinbine, Buffalo, NY and James Lewis Birkinbine, DeForest; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, dear sister, Marcella (Bill) Evans, Aliso Viejo, CA; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers. A memorial visitation celebrating her life will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2010 from 2-5:00 p.m. at the Cress Funeral Home, Sun Prairie. Please send donations to St. Mary's Hospital Foundation.

2 cups cups of well beaten faults

Mix thoroughly and add tears of joy and sorrow and sympathy for others. Fold in 4 cups of prayer and faith to lighten other ingredients and raise textures to great height of Christian living. After pouring all this into your daily life, bake well with the heat of human kindness. Serve with a smile.
