Rawlings (Armstrong), Lillian, died December 6, 2008 in the New Glarus Home in New Glarus, WI. Â Lillian grew up in Box Elder, MT and when she married James Armstrong she moved to Helena, MT. Â After the war Lillian and James divorced. Â Lillian went to work for Mountain Bell in Helena. Â In 1957 Mountain Bell offered her a job in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Â She moved to Albuquerque and worked for the telephone company for 25 years. Â After retirement from the phone company she was very active in their retiree program called the Pioneer's. Â Lillian met and married Harvey Rawlings while working at the telephone company. Â He preceded her in death in 1982. Â Lillian is survived by her sister Mary Thomas of Trinity, TX; two daughters Darleen Armstrong (Dan Cleary) of San Angelo, TX; Sharon Dreger (John) of Madison, WI; grandsons John and Jim Dreger of Madison, WI. Â She is also survived by her stepson Stanley Rawlings (Gloria); granddaughter Cary Rojas (Bill) and grandson Kyle Rawlings of Albuquerque, NM; and several nieces and nephews. Â She was preceded in death by Harvey Rawlings, her parents, sisters Ellen Atley, Ann Perkins, Frances McKnight, and Bertha Schmoldas. Â At Lillian's request there will be no services.
